50th Anniversary

Messages from Former Students

Krishna Our Guide has a special place in my heart, since the early 70’s when my late father started taking all his 6 children to the classes at Norris Road.  My father believed that cultural and spiritual education was important given Singapore’s diversity.

KOG provided the much needed support and cultural knowledge for the young Hindu community of developing Singapore.  In our Sunday classes, we learned about the essence of Hinduism, the mantras and most importantly cultural discipline.

We made many friends whom we’re still in touch with till today.  I enjoyed my time at KOG so much that I sent my children for the classes in the 90’s and they loved listening to stories about baby Krishna and Vishnu and learning about their culture and traditions in an enjoyable way.

I thank KOG for its contributions to society and encourage them to continue the timeless work.  Till today, my family and I continue to attend the anniversaries and events KOG holds annually.  I hope that KOG continues to inspire the Hindu community in Singapore.

Wishing KOG all the best for many more years to come.

I have some of my fondest memories with KOG.  I was initially ‘forced’ by my parents to attend KOG Class when I was seven or eight and I dreaded it as I had to sacrifice the cartoons that were usually aired on Sunday mornings.

But almost 30 years later, I still feel a sense of identity and a sense of pride to be associated with KOG.  I’m very indebted to KOG for what I’ve learned over the years.  KOG is indiscriminately taking Lord Krishna and his timeless teaching to hundreds of children in Singapore.

I’m honored to be one of those recipients and it has molded me to be what I am today.

50 Brilliant Years!  I can resolutely say that I would not be the person that I am today if not for Krishna Our Guide.  I have made life-long friends with whom I have shared many a stage acting of many different roles; from Lord Krishna to my most memorable role as Hiranyakashipu.

I could not quell my excitement when it came to getting on the bus to Sunday Class and 31 years later still remember the bhajans and lessons taught there.

Thank you and here’s looking forward to another 50!
