Annual Thanksgiving Prayer Holytree Temple on 11th January 2026
“ A thankful heart is not only a great virtue, but the parent of all other virtues.’ – Cicero
To advocate this virtue, it has been a tradition with KOG to start the year by expressing our gratitude to God for all His Grace. In the month of January, members, KOG class children and other devotees gather at a temple to invoke the Lord with a special puja and prayer. This is followed by chanting Sri Vishnu Ashtotranama Stootram, Bhajan singing and discourses on selected slokas from the Bhagavad Gita. Event is concluded by serving Prasadam to all present at the Temple.

The re-enactment of the historic Kurukshetra brought back the resounding battle between the Pandavas and Gauravas to life. The teaching of Sri Krishna of Dharma and Adharma captivated the hearts of the audience while the swashbuckling warriors did justice to the war that was fought around 5000 years ago. The Krishna Our Guide students learnt their roles and were astonishingly believable as the thousands of years ago warriors who fought against each other in Kurukshetra.
Holiday Excursions
During the school holidays either in June or December, an outing is organized for our KOG class children. Members, children, parents and friends are invited to join us in this outing.

Deepavali parties are synonymous with Krishna Our Guide with our very own Deepavali Thathaa in Singapore. Our parties celebrate the children and youths of KOG who have learnt the Gitthe Gita and have practised the techniques of meditation. Our parties are a way of saying, let us ce celebrate as KOG is more than just learning as it teaches us a way of life. Gifts, games and surprises thrill the children during this very special day as we cast our stress to the wind and say a special thank you to Lord Krishna for guiding us through. Please join us on the 12th of October at the Holytree Temple at 11am, 2nd floor.
The purpose of the visit was to offer prayers together for Singapore and Worldly wellness, recovery and peace as well as to promote interfaith understanding and friendship.
